I digress. Back to the Birthday
He loves the apple fritters from a donut shop in Conway, so I stopped in before work on Friday morning.
Birthday dinner {Friday}: Focaccia with roasted garlic & tomatoes topped with parmesan.
On Saturday, I made his favorite dessert ever: Baklava. Look for a recipe on Monday! I was nervous without having baked a trial batch...but it's just too pricey so I jumped right in. Best. Dessert. Ever. Ridiculously good stuff. Really. It's the thing that makes marriage proposals happen. Or, so I'm told. I'm pretty sure I sealed the deal with this one.
What's a birthday without presents? Nothing, I say. Luckily Thom loves the homemade.
There was lots of birthday dancing {me}, and singing {again, me}, and maybe some light flashing involved {hand over eyes, yes-me}....anything to make it a memorable day, I say.
Aren't birthdays just so much more fun when you add *birthday* in front of normal things, like: birthday dinner, here's your birthday kiss, have a birthday drink??
Happy birthday, love.

Happy Birthday Thom...
